Frequently Asked Questions
What is health coaching?
How is health coaching different from therapy or nutrition counseling?
Therapy often focuses on healing past trauma or managing mental health diagnoses. Nutrition counseling provides medical nutrition advice. Coaching, on the other hand, is both present and future-focused. It helps you build awareness, strengthen your mindset, and take small, consistent steps toward lasting change.
Note: Coaching can complement therapy or medical care, but it is not a replacement for medical advice.
What kinds of things can we work on in coaching?
Coaching is shaped around your goals, values, and lifestyle. Some common focus areas include:
- Managing stress or overwhelm
- Improving sleep, energy, and daily routines
- Building healthier habits around food or movement
- Navigating chronic conditions
- Recovering from burnout or life transitions
- Reconnecting with your values and purpose
What does a typical coaching session look like?
What if I’m not sure if coaching is right for me?
That’s completely okay. Coaching isn’t for everyone, and timing matters. I offer a free 40-minute discovery call so we can talk through your goals and see if we’re a good fit. There’s no pressure, just an honest, supportive conversation.
What if I start coaching and decide it is not the right fit?
Do you offer single sessions or only packages?
Do you offer payment plans?
Is everything done virtually?
Do you work with people managing chronic conditions?
What is your background and why do you coach?
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session as this helps me make the time available for others. I know life is unpredictable, and we’ll always aim to stay flexible and communicative. Full details are outlined in the coaching agreement, which you’ll receive before we begin.
